Decarboxylation
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 240°F.
  2. Use a hand grinder or scissors to gently break apart your desired amount of weed until it is fine. However, it should not be too fine to avoid slipping through the cheesecloth. Your weed butter needs to be clear and clean as possible.
  3. Spread the weed evenly onto the sheet pan or glass baking dish. Put it into the center rack oven for forty-five minutes for high grade, cured marijuana. If you are using lower quality or old weed, place it in the oven for twenty minutes and if using wet or recently harvested weed, leave it in the oven for about an hour.
  4. Always ensure to turn the sheet a couple of times for even heating, preferably after every ten minutes. The color of your weed will change from bright green to brownish-green. This means it has been decarboxylated.
