  1. Separate the seeds and the stems if needs be and then grind the marijuana buds using a grinder or chop them up with a sharp knife until they are finely chopped but not to the point of turning to powder.
  2. Mix the buds with butter by placing them in a bowl and using a spoon to mix the buds and butter.
  3. Ensure that the bud’s ground are fully coated with butter but not to the extent of soaking as that might inhibit THC release. This step is necessary for extracting THC from the plant so that you make a potent marijuana tea. As THC is insoluble in water, it needs a fatty substance to bind onto under high heat. The presence of butterfat and high temperatures from the hot water extracts the THC from the ground buds enabling you to ingest it with the tea.
  4. Empty the contents of the teabag by cutting off its top using a pair of scissors.
  5. Use a spoon to fill the marijuana butter mixture into the bag and fold it to avoid the marijuana butter mixture from spilling out. You can also use a metal tea ball or a coffee filter, which you will tie up into a bag instead of a teabag.
  6. Put the water into a pan and put it on heat to simmer.
  7. Place the teabag containing the marijuana butter mixture into the water and allow it to simmer for 30 minutes.
  8. If the mixture starts to boil, reduce the heat. If the level of water is getting lower, add some more to ensure that it does not evaporate completely.
  9. Take the water off the heat and remove the teabag.
  10. The weed tea will be very hot, and hence you should be cautious and allow it to cool for about five minutes.
  11. If you want to flavor it with a teabag of your choice, you should place it in the water during the last five minutes of simmering.
  12. Put the tea in a cup, stir in some honey or sugar, and enjoy your drink.
  13. Similar to most of the oral cannabis products, the tea takes about forty-five minutes to give the full effects. This marijuana tea creates a strong high by drinking only half gram.
